rapid prototyping projects
fall 2021I learned to use laser cutters for the class 15-394 Intermediate Rapid Prototyping. I made a circus-themed automaton and a single key model of a typewriter. Both were intially CADed in Solidworks and then cut and assembled. For the automaton I learned to create sketches from images of silhouettes. For the typewriter model I played with linkage dimensions to find something that worked in CAD, referencing this video, but the physical assembly ended up getting easily stuck, so I maybe should've looked up actual working linkage dimensions and used something better than bolts for joints.
girl character on Sketchfab
fall 2018a girl model made with Autodesk Maya for an animation by my robotics team. She was the first humanoid model I had made (which is why she looks rough), and the first model I rigged. My inspiration was the Mario character.
model of my room from 2021
summer 2022
designed, modelled, and animated in Autodesk Maya 2020,
video compiled in Da Vinci Resolve 2016. I wanted to
capture a peaceful moment, while learning to model wire,
animate cloth, and create god rays.

"My Shot" from Hamilton in ASL
spring 2022(dislaimer: I still don't know much ASL unfortunately) My friends and I translated most of "My Shot" into ASL as part of the class 98-244 Sign Language Through Pop Music. I don't have their express permission to make the video public but if you ask me I can show you!
metal jewelry
fall 2021I learned to make these 3 projects in 24-204 Intro to Metal Jewelry at CMU. The ring was my favorite - it's bronze, made through a lost wax casting where we made the ring out of wax (see the last pic), poured plaster of paris around it, melted the wax out creating a plaster cast, then poured liquid bronze in to fill the mold. The other 2 projects were earrings and a bezel pendant.
Killjoy's turret (Valorant)
winter 2020-2021
I spent a few hours every day for 1.5 weeks building this
tribute to quarantine life. It can spin horizontally, but
doesn't shoot and the legs are fixed unfortunately.
It's also a can holder? I just used a lot of reference
images and drew things out, so CAD may be useful but not
necessary for these builds - measuring with proportions
from images seems good enough.
Also, to create a cylinder with a beveled edge, I made a
normal cylinder, cut out a target shape with 2 concentric
circles, cut 4 lines from the outer circle to the inner,
trimmed the outer circle between the cuts, and forced it
together.

spring 2019Hogwarts Express model
winter 2021-22my newest Metal Earth model. Tools included pliers, flush cutters, and a toothpick at one point (and my finger nails). A technique I figured otu for the rounded surfaces is pressing the metal around something already round, like a bottle. The model took 3 days, ~4+ hrs a day. I was scared of scratching the paint but I love how it turned out. Looking forward to building Hogwarts next!
baby BB8
spring 2021A hackathon project built with my friend. A Raspberry Pi displays a laptop GUI for controls, and sends controls commands to an Arduino, which spins the motors. We originally intended to place the robot inside the full styrofoam ball, but its center of gravity was too high and it tipped over when placed inside. It was a lot of fun to make, but perhaps could've been better planned.
Iron Man helmet
summer 2018Mark 42 Iron Man cardboard helmet made referencing this video. The rest of the armor to come??
robot character on Sketchfab
spring 2018a character made with Autodesk Maya for an animation by my robotics team. It was eventually rigged (but not by me).
